Wamboin is part of the Local Government Area (LGA) administered by the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council, and one of the roles filled by the Wamboin Community Association is the representation of Community interests before Council.

The menu items to the left link to the various Council issues that have specifically involved the WCA. Most of these apply to matters that relate to the former Palerang Council, which was merged with Queanbeyan City Council on 12 May 2016 to form the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council.
